FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - I-Silicon and Maxis commit to serve MnEportal Community
16 April 2001 - MnEportal has entered a partnership agreement with I-Silicon, a wholly-owned subsidiary of I-Berhad, and Maxis, the Malaysian telecommunication company, who will provide the MnE community with the PCs and Internet solutions respectively.
I-Silicon, one of the leading PCs providers in Malaysia will be supplying PCs to the members of MnEportal at an affordable price. Moreover, it has a nation-wide customer's service network in Malaysia, which will enable MnE community to gain better access to I-Silicon customer's services. Our partnership with Maxis, will also enable MnE community to gain the opportunity to access to the Internet at an economical access fee.
This alliance with I-Silicon and Maxis will be another exciting step forward for MnEportal as this will further improve the awareness and alleviate the Internet technology within the MnE community.
These PCs from I-Silicon are classified into two packages, i.e. with a Pentium® III and Celeron® processors respectively. These PCs solutions are configured to comply with the latest demand of information technology. The Internet packages which offered by Maxis, are also categorized into two packages. The first Internet package is consists of 4 dial-up accounts with unlimited access. While the second package is consists of 4 dial-up accounts with 60 access hours per month. These packages are tagged with competitive prices to ensure the community enjoys the privileges provided by these partnerships. I-Silicon Corporate Information
I-Silicon, a wholly-owned subsidiary of I-Berhad, is one of the leading PC solutions company in Malaysia. I-Berhad was established in February 2, 1967 under the name of Sanyo Industries (Malaysia) Berhad. In 1999, the company is taken over by Sumurwang Group and has changed its name to I-Berhad. The Group today has 2 business divisions-home appliances and IT. They began to market products under its I - brand.
